Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies results; our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create ordinary server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that data in aggregate for maintenance and usage patterns. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use limited information to operate the reference, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Resources
Links lead to county and state portals, archives, library collections, and outside search services. The privacy rules of each destination govern data submitted there. That includes the third-party provider behind sponsored search results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server-log data for us. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process.
Safeguards
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. No accounts are offered, so the service does not maintain visitor passwords or profile pages.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out for personal data a business holds. New Jersey's consumer privacy framework is P.L. 2023, c.266. Because this reference keeps little visitor information, a request generally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to make one. Government records held by Lakewood Township, Ocean County, or New Jersey custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the responsible office.
Policy Changes
Any revision will appear on this page. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
